O'Bryan 726 Beast Carry Grader - 26 Foot
The 726 Beast is our flagship carry grader — built for operators who need serious grading productivity. With a 26-foot (7.9 metre) cutting blade, the 726 Beast covers significant width per pass, reducing the number of passes required to grade a road to standard.
What is a Carry Grader
A carry grader is a tractor-drawn grading machine that uses a large angled blade to grade, shape, and spread material across a surface. Unlike a motor grader (which is a self-propelled, purpose-built machine), a carry grader is towed by an agricultural or civil tractor, delivering significant grading capability at a fraction of the capital cost of a self-propelled unit.
O’Bryan carry graders are designed to cut and carry material across the grading surface — spreading windrows, shaping road cambers, clearing table drains, and levelling paddock surfaces. They are a practical, cost-effective solution for ongoing road maintenance on rural properties and for council road crews maintaining unsealed road networks.
Why Choose an O'Bryan Carry Grader
• 2-year manufacturer’s warranty — backed by our workshop team
• Tractor-drawn economics — significantly lower capital cost than a motor grader
• Large blade widths — the 726 Beast covers more ground per pass than smaller towed graders
• Built for Australian conditions — designed for the gravel roads, clay soils, and corrugation patterns found on Australian rural and civil sites
O'BRYAN CG726 BEAST CARRY GRADER
Increase productivity by up to 60% for your irrigation grading and maintenance!
The O’Bryan CG726 Beast Carry Grader has been created to improve productivity for large format irrigation maintenance and grading projects, the large 26 ft wide blade provides a significant increase in ground coverage, up to an estimated 60% increase when compared to a typical 16 ft scrapers.
The magic in this machine lies in our dual apron design. This allows for 8 cubic meters of soil to loaded and carried to cover the light cut and fill aspects of your maintenance programs.
The independent cross level and lift cylinders are connected to the heavy-duty walking beams which roll on large 500/60R22.5 heavy wall tyres. This machine is designed for a high level of stability in mind, ensuring a high-quality final grade finish.
When the job is finished you can enjoy a simple pack up process reducing the machine width down to 3.7 meters (>3.5m without tyres) allowing for easy on road travel.
This machine will work effectively behind 500+HP Tractors.

Frequently Asked Questions
A motor grader is a self-propelled machine with its own engine and operator cab — a purpose-built grading unit that costs $400,000–$600,000 or more to purchase. A carry grader is towed by a tractor you already own, delivering comparable grading capability for a fraction of the capital cost. For most Australian rural road maintenance applications, a carry grader towed by a suitable tractor will outperform a smaller self-propelled unit on a cost-per-kilometre basis.
Contact our team with your tractor’s specifications and we will advise on the best configuration for your application. The 726 Beast requires a high-horsepower tractor to achieve full grading performance
Yes — the O'Bryan 726 Beast is used by rural councils and shire road crews across Australia for unsealed road maintenance. The 26-foot blade width makes it productive on gravel roads, covering more road width per pass and reducing the total number of passes needed to bring a road to standard.
O'Bryan carry graders can be angled and adjusted to push material from the road centre to the edges, forming or restoring road camber. The blade can also be angled to clear table drains alongside the road. Contact our team to discuss the operational setup for your specific road maintenance requirements.
All O'Bryan carry graders are backed by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. Genuine O'Bryan spare parts are available with fast delivery Australia-wide.
